During the meeting in Croatia students had a successful workshop where they created a public campaign for sustainable development.
(9 students, 3 groups; creating an e-book of campaigns)
Instructions:
Create a public campaign plan. With this campaign you should achieve a change in society that will bring wellbeing. Follow the steps:
1. At the beginning of campaign planning, you should know which problem of sustainable development (Agenda 2030) you want to solve. Present ideas and decide in the group.
2. The name
The name of the campaign should be catchy, attractive and clear for the target group.
3. Time
Estimate how much time you need to collect the necessary funds, organize yourself, create the necessary materials - that means the duration of the campaign.
4. What are you fighting for or against?
Define the problem. The problem should not be small/banal but also not too big (as it could be unsolvable in the time you have for the campaign). Direct the campaign "for something" or "against something".
5. Problems/obstacles/expectations
Think and list the following: What are your obstacles? What problems do you expect? (among children at school / adults / parents / in the neighbourhood / in the place where you live).
6. Specific knowledge and abilities
During the campaign we need to know: What knowledge and resources do we have? (time / friends / money / social networks / previous experience / specific knowledge and abilities) State what sources of knowledge you will use. Will you involve experts in certain areas? What funds will you invest in the campaign?
7. The importance of the campaign
What will motivate you if the campaign gets stuck on a problem? What do you want to tell to the public?
8. The role of the public and the target audience
Describe to the public how they can support you and what their role is in the campaign.
Decide who your target audience is, who you expect to be most involved. Are they parents, children, teachers, others? Also decide which audience is not important.
9. Key messages
Write three sentences that will clearly summarize the campaign. The key messages are the main component of every material you produce - video, public speech, brochures, friendly conversations...
10. Choose the media
