Pollution of water, soil and air has been caused by development. However, what we need to focus on is sustainable development.
What is sustainable development? It is a development that meets the needs of current generations, and at the same time, is in harmony with nature and the needs of future generations.
Sustainable development does not happen by itself. It needs to be carefully planned. Encouraging and planning sustainable development is possible through laws, national and other strategies and plans, and it happens at several levels - local, regional, rural, urban, etc. Sustainable development of a society is based on social equality and harmony.
Our students successfully presented their ideas through a workshop during the mobility in Croatia.
Creating a sustainable planet/island
(15 students, 5 groups; creating a POSTER)
1. Imagine you are the first inhabitants of an island/a planet; you are all of different, the territory is unknown, you do not feel safe and you do not know if you will survive at all.
2. After visualizing the imagined place, come up with 5-10 main rules for life (otherwise the community will not survive). Write the rules on the poster.
3. Draw the island/planet.
4. Present the island/planet and explain the rules (how they will enable survival and bring wellbeing to the community).
