For this transnational meeting called "Being responsible" we focused on our responsibility to reduce inequality, to work towards good health and well-being, gender equality and responsible consumption.
For preparation students with their teachers had worked on certain topics for the international meeting. Each school had prepared for different activities. In classes and after school activities students had prepared “ice-breaking” activities, cultural quizzes, language and dance classes, and handcraft workshops.
Each school arrived with 16 students and 2-3 teachers. The venue was not at school but in a group accommodation, so that all students, also those of the host country were able to stay together all the time. Students shared rooms with students from the other countries in order to offer the participants more occasions to build up friendships and to practise their English.
By the end of the meeting, we definitely returned home rich. Some with actual upcycled objects, others with lots of ideas and everybody with new friendships. Everybody involved agreed that our setting of a big international camp is very exciting.
