OUR AWARENESS FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Updated: Oct 19, 2023

A very successful meeting in Spain!

The venue was a group accommodation, so that all students, also those of the host country could stay together all the time. Students shared rooms with students from the other countries so that participants had the intense occasion to build up friendships and to practise their English.

· Participative/collaborative activities were led by students of each country

· Language workshops were designed, prepared, carried out and led by students of each school.

· Visit and workshop in a bull-farm. Historic and cultural aspects of bull-fighting in Spain were confronted with animal rights. Through participation and debate, we were able to raise the agreement that animal rights is a value to be protected.

· Full-day in nature exploring and enjoying together a local natural environment near Fuentelencina- Spain.

· We decided, as a team of the 5 schools, to concentrate on the impact of mental health inequalities, and more specifically in teenager emotional health and self-esteem. The reason for it was the common view on how the emotional health of our students (and teachers) is really weak and, even more, after COVID pandemic. As a consequence of it, a WORKSHOP of EMOTIONS and SELF-ESTEEM was designed and carried out during the mobility. Feedback collected about this workshop was very satisfactory and productive. Students agreed that they would like to implement sharing feelings through collaborative games and dynamics in their schools.

· Theater scenes about social inequalities had been written and now rehearsed and presented as a STREET PERFORMANCE (including a song that was composed for the event) in the main square of the city of Alcalá de Henares for all the audience that was visiting this historic town of Spain.

· A workshop about ICT skills to diseminate project outcomes at the 5 schools was carried out during the mobility in Spain under the coordination of the Italian school students and teachers. Materials were produced towards this goal.
