HEALTHY LIFE IN BULGARIA

The working atmosphere during our meeting was very satisfying and respectful and at the same time very cheerful. Teenagers brought in their energy and inspired the teachers. We were lucky to put a stress on the feeling of belonging together.

On the arrival day the guest students met their host students and socialized. We went into the nature for collaborative activities. People from the local mountain rescue offered the experience of traversing a little gorge and thus work on trust and self consciousness. Being active together in a constructive way was really a value itself.

On the second day we Visited the cave Ledenika and saw again the impact of small drops which have built up impressive formations. Like in our project here every single drop contributed to the shape as every single person contributes to the shape of our future.

After that some extra activities for students were offered for them to experience their body and courage. We also got a cultural insight on a traditional festival. In the afternoon we went on a rather long and adventurous hike back to Vratsa.

Presentations were given at the host school by each partner about health and well-being focused on body and mind. Talking about mental health made us aware that due to the pandemic and the evolution and omnipresence of social media has had a huge impact on our and specifically the teenagers life. We decided to put more effort on providing good experiences.

We also focused on the next meeting. Having the students there in person offered the opportunity of real discussion. Students created lists of which activities and aspects they liked during the last meeting, which was the international camp in Germany, and which they want to hang on. Additionally, they discussed more ideas for the next big meeting in Spain. Our students were very content to feel that they could make an impact on planning this particular future event.
