Day 1
We all met at 9 am at IIS Corinaldesi Padvano School in Senigallia and were welcomed by Tiziana (English teacher) and Giuliana (Spanish teacher) and the school's principal. Then we were shown around the two school buildings by Tiziana. We saw a lot of different labs, like the fashion lab, chemistry lab, mechanic lab etc. which was very inspiring.
In the late morning we walked into the beautiful town of Senigallia where Tiziana and Giulia took us on a little sightseeing tour around Senigallia.
Senigallia has about 44.000 inhabitants and is south of Ancona in the Marche Region, Italy.
The name Senigallia comes from the Roman name Sena Gallica.
'Sena' is said to be a corrupted form of "Senones" and "Gallica" (meaning "Gaulish") distinguished it from Saena (Siena) in Tuscany.
After lunch we went back to school to introduce the partner schools to each other and the project partners.
In the evening we met again at school to have aperitivo together, were welcomed and introduced by school staff because it was the start of summer school.
Day 2
On the second day we shared best practices among the partner countries. It was very impressing to see how the different partners made progress during the pandemie.
Just before lunch we were visiting an arts project at school that is supposed to acivate students who suffered during the pandemie to express themselves.
You can scan the QR to see the programme of the best practices.
For lunch we went to Giulia's place where every country partner brought some 'typical' snack from home.
In the afternoon we worked in different groups to find out about targets, schedules and activities of the first general meeting. Besides that we were organizing the website and learning about different tools.
Day 3
In the morning we all worked on different tasks, like finding out about different tools like 'Gather Town', making up a schedule, learning about website organization etc.
After lunch we went on an excursion to the famous Frasassi caves.
Day 4
On the last day we were given our Certificates of Attendance by the School's Principal Anna Maria Nicolosi and then it was time to say 'Good Bye'
